How could you even suggest that?Posted by Eddie on the 11th January, 2010 |
When I first came up across Google’s new suggest feature, I was immediately intrigued.
The first thing I did - obviously – was tool around trying to get around its swear filter (no chance Google will say “tits”, “poo” or “ass”, but it’s ok with “cuntface”).
Shortly after this I thought it would be fun to try and weed out what crazy things people had been asking the internet. Shortly after that I realized half the internet had done this already. But nevertheless, I thought I’d show some of my results.

Internet! That’s mean; she can’t help it that she has a pronounced crotch.

Y’know, I never even knew I wanted to until I knew I couldn’t.
I’m sorry, but I can’t help but giggle every time I read these;

and

Green poop is never good.
As I was tooling around, I started noticing a recurring theme;

Citizens of the internet! I have met many Chinese people and - by and large - they are very cool people. They mean you no harm!
This all started off as just a bit of fun, but it become oddly addictive. It’s a fascinating insight into how people tick; the anonymity of the internet allows people to ask any question, to expose their deepest, darkest thoughts and neuroses. And now – if you can only find the right lead-up - you can expose that to the harsh light of day.
That’s when things started to get a little weird.

Next I tried “is it normal to…” and at this stage decided I didn’t want to play this game anymore.
